Post updated Oct. 1, 2024: To include some new places that I’ve visited.
Like I said, I love to travel. I’ve traveled some, but not as extensive as others. But in previous post I mentioned that I had a personal goal to see as many UNESCO World Sites as possible. That got me thinking of the places that I have visited so far, and I will note within those locations if any were UNESCO World Heritage sites. I think when I made that statement, I didn’t realize how many UNESCO World Heritage sites there are. There are over one thousand UNESCO World Heritage sites (1,199 to be exact).
I’m listing them Alphabetically.

I’ve visited several UNESCO World sites in Italy.

Upcoming Travel Plans
I need to visit in the United States the states that I’ve never been to before. Maybe I will do that by passenger train. That includes: AIaska, Idaho, Utah, Oregon, Wyoming, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Connecticut, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
Also would like to visit some African countries (namely: Botswana, Tanzania & Zanzibar, Mauritius, Seychelles, and Morocco). For African Safaris they say you have to pack light because of the luggage restrictions on the small planes. So I have to keep improving my packing skills until I can get to a one backpack for a trip. I’m not there now, but I’m getting my mind wrapped around it.
Also have my sights on visiting New Zealand, Australia, and Portugal for the first time in the near future. Probably 2025…. never know.
Stay tuned to see where I end up. In 2024, I will be completing my Thailand trip by the end of January, and have two other trips planned. Going back to Italy for the third visit, but this time venturing out to a province that I’ve never visited before, the Apulia/Puglia region. Also later in the summer. I will be traveling to Peru for the first time. Anxious to see Machu Picchu in person, I’ve seen so many beautiful pictures of that area. Note: The list above has been updated to include the places visited so far in 2024.
Hope my past travels and upcoming plans, have made you think of some places that you have been longing to visit, that you have put off. Why wait? Remember, Travel Can’t Wait. Make it happen. We are not a travel agency; we are here to give you advice and inspiration. Later I might be sharing with you some business partners’ sites that might be able to help you with your travel needs so you can live your best life now.
Forgive me, I got side tracked, and forgot to note of the places I visited which ones were UNESCO World Sites, I’ll put that info., on a separate post. Just listing the UNESCO sites I’ve visited. I thought the Eiffel Tower in Paris was on the list but I didn’t see it. So I think several of the places that I visited, that I thought were on the list are not. I put this post, because I think when I list the places that I have visited that are UNESCO World sites, it is going to be a short list. Oh, well…. something to look forward to.
Pictures above were taken of me in Athens, Greece (Parthenon). Next photo was me taking pictures in San Gimignano, Italy, and then me standing in front of a building in Santorini, Greece.
Looks like great places to visit!
Thanks for the feedback Mr. Hunt. Yes, they were great places to visit. I’m hoping to travel and explore more.
